Owner and Advanced Cosmetic Nurse Injector at Amber and Oak Aesthetics. Mel believes that when it comes to cosmetic injectables - less is more. We believe the best cosmetic injectables are the ones that are undetectable. Her natural approach to aesthetic injections provides subtle yet impactful results with a focus on providing an overall harmony to ones features and balance one's facial proportions. Her keen eye for enhancing your beauty while preserving your unique features sets her apart in the field.
After graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Calgary in 2010, Mel poured over a decade into critical care and emergency medical services. Critical care will always have a special place in Mel's heart however she found a profound passion for her work after venturing into the world of aesthetic medicine in 2020.
With a welcoming vibe that feels like reconnecting with an old friend, Mel goes beyond procedures – she's all about building relationships. Her goal is simple yet powerful: to ensure you leave not just looking your best, but feeling like your best version of you.
Outside of aesthetic medicine, Mel is immersed in family life with her husband Joel, their two busy toddlers, Bo and Sam, and their dog Hudson the lab-cross. Mel considers herself a bit of a foodie, loves to travel with her favorite travel destination to date being a toss up between Vietnam or Bali and spending time with their family camping and hiking in the mountains.

Collette sets a gold standard for our clinic and has been on a remarkable 17-year healthcare journey, thriving in emergency medicine, public health, and now cosmetic injectables at her own highly successful practice.
While she may not have daily interactions with clients, her guidance and expertise form the backbone of our clinic's ethos. Her influence trickles down into every facet of our operations, ensuring that our commitment to excellence is unwavering. Behind the scenes, Collette's leadership and dedication enrich the experiences of our clients. Her visionary approach and exceptional skillset contribute to the seamless operations that make our clinic exceptional.
