  • What’s the difference between Botox and Dysport?
Both are neuromodulators designed to soften muscle movement and reduce expression lines, but they differ slightly in their formulation and how they spread. Dysport tends to diffuse a bit more, which can make it ideal for larger treatment areas like the forehead, while Botox may offer more precision in smaller areas. The results are very similar — it often comes down to injector preference, technique, and what’s best for your unique anatomy.
  • Will I still be able to make facial expressions?
The goal isn’t to freeze your face — it’s to soften muscle activity just enough to smooth lines while preserving natural expression. Your results should look subtle, relaxed, and refreshed, not stiff.
  • Can Botox/Dysport help with facial asymmetry?
Yes, absolutely. Neuromodulators can be used strategically to rebalance muscle activity on each side of your face — for example, if one eyebrow sits higher or you have uneven smile lines. It’s one of the reasons expert assessment matters so much.
  • Why does everyone say Botox lasts 3-4 months — but I still feel smoother longer?
This is common: Botox/Dysport are fully metabolized around the 3-4 month mark, but it can take time for your muscles to regain full strength. Some clients continue to feel “smooth” well beyond that because muscle memory softens over time with consistent treatments.
  • If I stop getting Botox/Dysport, will my lines come back worse?
No — they’ll simply return to how they would have looked if you’d never treated them. In some cases, they may even return softer because you’ve given your muscles a break from repetitive movement.
  • What’s the ideal age to start Botox/Dysport?
There’s no perfect age — it depends on your anatomy, muscle activity, and skin quality. Some start in their late 20s or early 30s as a preventative strategy, while others begin later to soften static lines that have already formed.
  • Why do I see movement return in some areas before others?
Different muscles metabolize differently — larger, stronger muscles (like the forehead) may regain strength sooner than smaller, finer ones (like crow’s feet). Your anatomy, dosing, and movement patterns all play a role.
  • Why can’t I just come in “once in a while” when I feel like it?
You can — but there’s value in being consistent. Treating on a regular schedule allows us to maintain results more easily and helps prevent deep static lines from setting in over time.
  • Can Botox/Dysport do more than smooth wrinkles?
Yes. Neuromodulators can help with concerns like jawline slimming, reducing teeth grinding/clenching (bruxism), softening a gummy smile, relaxing neck bands, and more — it’s about understanding the full range of what these products can do beyond just “forehead lines.”
  • Will I look “filled” or puffy after dermal filler?
Not if it’s done properly. The goal isn’t to add volume for the sake of volume — it’s to restore support, correct asymmetry, or soften areas of depletion, always in proportion to your natural anatomy. Subtlety is key.
  • What areas can you treat besides lips and cheeks?
So many. Filler can be used to restore structure in the jawline, improve chin projection, address deeper smile lines (nasolabial folds) or marionette lines and soften under-eye hollows.
  • How long do results really last?
It depends on the area treated, the filler used, and your own metabolism. Areas with more movement (like lips) may metabolize faster (typically 6-9 months), while other areas (like cheeks or chin) often last closer to 12-18 months.
  • Why do some people’s filler look obvious?
It usually comes down to overfilling or poor technique. The best filler work is invisible — people may notice you look refreshed, but they shouldn’t be able to tell you’ve had anything done.
  • Can filler help with facial asymmetry?
Yes — that’s actually one of the most thoughtful uses of dermal filler. It can balance uneven lips, correct subtle differences in cheek volume, or address asymmetries along the jawline or chin.
  • What’s the difference between restoring volume and augmentation?
Restoration focuses on replacing volume lost with time — like softening areas of depletion in cheeks or around the mouth. Augmentation adds volume for aesthetic enhancement — like building lip structure. The approach depends entirely on your goals.
  • Can filler migrate?
Migration can happen, especially in areas like the lips where there’s a lot of movement, but careful placement, conservative dosing, and good technique minimize that risk. My approach is always about respecting natural anatomy.
  • Do I have to keep doing filler once I start?
No — filler metabolizes gradually and your face will simply return to its natural state if you stop. There’s no commitment unless you want to maintain the result.
  • Why would someone dissolve their filler?
Sometimes filler was placed poorly, too much was used, or it has migrated over time. Dissolving is a safe option if you ever want to reset, and I can help guide you if that’s something to consider.
  • How is Sculptra different from filler?
Sculptra isn’t a traditional filler — it’s a biostimulator. Rather than providing immediate volume, it encourages your skin to rebuild its own collagen over time, leading to gradual, natural-looking improvement.
  • How soon will I see results?
Sculptra is subtle by design — results build slowly over weeks as your body generates new collagen. You’ll notice your skin gradually looking fresher and more supported, without a sudden “done” appearance.
  • How many treatments will I need?
Most people need a series of 2–3 treatments spaced about 4–6 weeks apart, depending on how much collagen has been lost and your individual goals. We’ll tailor this based on your skin and anatomy.
  • How long do results last?
Sculptra results are long-lasting because you’re rebuilding your own collagen. Many clients maintain results for up to 2 years or more before needing retreatment.
  • Can Sculptra and filler be used together?
Yes — they complement each other beautifully. Sculptra rebuilds collagen and improves overall skin structure, while filler can fine-tune specific areas that need immediate correction or definition.
  • Why is massage after treatment so important?
Massage ensures that the Sculptra particles distribute evenly as collagen forms, minimizing the risk of small nodules or unevenness. I’ll walk you through exactly how and when to massage post-treatment.
  • Does Sculptra feel different than filler once it’s in place?
Yes — because Sculptra stimulates your own collagen rather than adding product volume, the result feels completely natural. There’s nothing sitting under the skin — it’s simply your skin restored.
  • Can I use Sculptra preventatively?
In some cases, yes — early, subtle use of Sculptra can help maintain collagen levels before significant depletion occurs, supporting long-term skin quality and structure.
  • Why do I need multiple vials or sessions?
Sculptra works cumulatively — collagen rebuilds gradually and your starting point (how much volume loss is present) determines how much product is needed. We take a layered approach to achieve natural, balanced results.
  • Is Sculptra only for the face?
Not at all — while Sculptra is most commonly used in the face to improve skin quality and restore volume loss, it can also be used for body treatments. In carefully selected patients, Sculptra can help improve volume and contour in areas like the buttocks or hip dips by stimulating collagen for gradual, natural-looking shape enhancement.
