Let’s set you up for the best results.

Each treatment comes with its own care protocols — what you do before and after matters. Below, you’ll find clear, easy-to-follow guidelines to help you prep, heal, and get the most out of your appointment.

Your skin (and your results) will thank you.

Pre-Care Guidelines

MEDICATIONS + SUPPLEMENTS

To help minimize bruising

Avoid blood-thinning medications like aspirin, ibuprofen, and Aleve for 72 hours prior.

Skip supplements like fish oil, vitamin E, St. John’s Wort, and others known to thin the blood for one week before your appointment.

ALCOHOL AND CAFFEINE

Try to limit or avoid alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours before your treatment — it can increase the risk of bruising.

SKIN PREP

Stay hydrated. Well-hydrated skin supports better results.

Arrive with clean skin — no makeup or moisturizer.

Avoid harsh treatments like peels, lasers, or microdermabrasion for at least one week before.

Pause retinoids or active skincare a few days prior to minimize sensitivity.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

If you have an event coming up, book at least 2 weeks ahead to allow for settling and any touch-ups (especially if it’s your first time).

Prone to cold sores? Let us know — we may recommend a preventative antiviral.

PLEASE AVOID

Waxing, tweezing, or bleaching the treatment area right before your appointment.

Wearing makeup on the day of your treatment.

Post-Care Guidelines

  • Stay upright for at least 4 hours; avoid lying down or bending over.

  • Refrain from touching or massaging the treated areas for 24 hours.

  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and hot tubs for 24–48 hours.

  • Delay applying makeup for at least 4 hours post-treatment.

  • Facial treatments (e.g., facials, peels, microdermabrasion) should be postponed for 2 weeks.

  • Results typically begin to appear within 2–3 days, with full effects visible by 7–14 days.
